The Concept
Established in 1941, Manipal Press wanted a 'new' image for its buildings. The multicolored screens, tilted at an angle, help break up the linearity of the 500-foot length. The use of different colors of Alucobond panels further subdivides the individual screens. This simple tilt of the lines creates an unconventional look, achieved using standard aluminum extrusions.
