Advani & Associates

Founded in 1974, an architecture & interior design firm based in Bengaluru.

R. S. Advani and his drawing board, 1974.

For fifty years, we have followed a simple equation: truth, beauty, freedom, and the quiet clarity of morning light. Not as ideals to achieve, but as forces to return to, particularly when the demands of practice pull you away from them, as they inevitably do. The honest account of our journey is one of projects that humbled us, briefs that challenged our assumptions, and the persistent gap between what we envisioned and what we ultimately built. We have not always arrived where we intended. But we have always been willing to examine why, and to do better.

More than any recognition or completed work, what five decades of practice has given us is uncertainty—and yet, the discipline to return to the work each day with greater rigour and renewed intention. We are still learning. We expect we always will be.
